The Overwatch League Season Has Begun

#OWL2022 kicked off with a bang and thing’s could not have been more fun for the first week of competitive play on Overwatch 2! Still, that’s not the only thing that kept us busy last week, as we announced a partnership with McDonald’s, unveiled a new edition of popular Sip of Justice, our popular lager in collaboration with DC Brau, AND got our very own holiday! That’s right, May 7th is now officially Washington Justice Day in the nation’s capital.
In our first match of the season, we welcomed a sold-out crowd to kick off the season against the Toronto Defiant, on Washington Justice Day! Energy was high in the building and, after dropping the first map, were able to cruise to three straight map wins, to take the match on the brand new setting on New Queen Street.
Our fortunes weren’t so good on Sunday, as we dropped our match to Dallas 0 maps to three, meaning we split our opening weekend going 1-1. Oddly enough, we beat Toronto, who beat Houston, who beat Dallas, who beat us — pretty confusing, right? One thing’s for sure, this season of the Overwatch League is sure to be exciting!
